Our journalism does this by providing people with the information they need to fully participate in democracy, the context they need to understand and debate critical issues, and the transparency and accountability they rely on to trust that governments and other powerful institutions are acting in the public interest.
As we do this work, we are committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace for our staff, to considering our impact on the environment, and to supporting the broader journalistic community and the rights that make it possible to bring the public the information it needs. In recent years, we’ve invested in hiring and developing talent across the company, and we offer a number of benefits and programs that support our progress toward building a place where people of all backgrounds can do the best work of their careers.
Corporate Social Responsibility
We support journalism groups that strengthen independent journalism where it’s most needed. We are also committed to helping people through educational initiatives and giving back to the community through college scholarships and financial assistance to those in need.
Corporate Governance
CODICE believes strong governance practices are essential to executing our strategy, creating long-term value and maintaining the trust of our stakeholders. We believe strong corporate governance is a critical component of our corporate culture.
Our Board has ultimate responsibility for oversight of our ESG practices, policies, and initiatives, with certain standing committees maintaining oversight of component areas. The Board and its committees, as applicable, receive regular updates from a cross-functional management leadership team that has the day-to-day responsibility for these matters.
